Electric Vehicles & The Race for 1,000km! | Lucid | Mercedes | Tesla | & More!

What’s the first question you get asked when you tell someone you have an EV? ’What’s the Range?’

We’ve come a long way in the last decade in terms of batteries, range and efficiency! What was impressive 10 years ago is now considered woeful!

EVs now exist that can do 400 to 500 miles on a charge. The Lucid, driven carefully could perhaps challenge 1,000km. But we’re still waiting for a car that can do 1,000km in the real world!

What are the factors affecting efficiency and range? Batteries, tyres, wheels, aerodynamics, etc.

Who will win the race to 1,000km? And…is that even necessary? Maybe the range we have now is fine, and what we really need is just better and more numerous chargers?!
